Melissa Sze

Hello and welcome! I am so glad that you have made it here, taking a step to find a therapist can be a difficult first step. My hope is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable talking to me about what has brought you to therapy. I view each situation and individual as unique and walk alongside to help create an approach that works for you. I am caring and intuitive in my approach and value the importance of a therapeutic relationship filled with openness, safety, respect and care. I strive to build strong and positive relationships with those I work with and help individuals to recognize their strength and resiliency. I work from a client-centered and trauma informed approach. I draw from numerous different modalities including IFS, CBT, Solution Focused, Narrative and mindfulness strategies.

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW), a dog mom, avid reader of books and a nature lover. I have always been interested in helping others and can remember being a helper from a young age. I have been in the field of social work for over fifteen years. I’ve worked extensively in areas involving trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, depression and intergenerational trauma.

If I seem like somebody that may be a good fit for you, feel free to book a free 20-minute consult with me through our booking site. I look forward to meeting you!
